This November, Shaver Road Animal Hospital is partnering with two wonderful community service organizations to benefit both local children and local pets in need!  We are calling this our "Generous Hands for Rescued Paws" Food Drive and hope to make this an annual event in the community.  Here's how it works:

1.)  You simply drop off donations of food for Generous Hands to Shaver Road Animal Hospital.  Generous Hands is a program that benefits local children in our community in a variety of ways.  You can check out their website for more information!  Our food drive is aimed at assisting their Friday Backpack program.  Suggested items for donation include:  18 oz peanut butter jars, fruit cups, applesauce cups, Ramen noodles, microwave popcorn, and peanuts.  Of course ALL donations will be enthusiastically welcomed!

2.)  For every pound of "people food" donated at Shaver Road Animal Hospital, we will donate one pound of pet food to Kalamazoo Animal Rescue.

3.)  You can check our website and Facebook page to see where our daily totals are.  We really want this program to have a great impact on these two wonderful local organizations!  Please spread the news to family and friends so that we can maximize those donations!
